What’s your online reputation worth to you? Well, it could be worth a lot considering 8 out of 10 consumers perform a Google search prior to making big buying decisions like vehicle and appliance purchases. They also do this when making the right choice is crucial to their quality of life, like choosing the right attorney, doctor, dentist, chiropractor, or accountant. Google search statistics show us that only 6% of people who search online ever look past page 1 of the results. This tells us the the 1st page of Google results for any keyword string is the most influential and the most important. Do you have bad reviews or negative stories about yourself or your business on page 1? Is your digital reputation suffering?
Internet Reputation Repair
Trying to fix your web reputation can be a daunting task, especially when you don’t know where to start or who to call for advice. There are lots of online reputation management companies out there charging $15,000+ to clean up the first page of Google results. Then there are the guys from overseas that are charging only $200 but using very poor tactics and producing very poor results. What I think most people are looking for is a trustworthy online reputation repair company that provides high quality, affordable online reputation management services. That’s were I come in…
How To Remove Rip Off Reports and Pissed Consumer Reports
There are services out there that claim to completely remove these reports from their respective websites. However, the only people in control of websites like these is the people who own them and make money from the organic search traffic they get. They usually have some type of advertisements on their pages and a certain percentage of people click on those ads. When this happens, those sites make money from the advertisers. The more visitors they get, the more money they make. Believe me, they aren’t easily willing to remove anyone’s “ripoff report”… unless you’re willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars. I’ve found the best way to remove these types of reports is just to remove them from the 1st page of Google results. (remember: 94% of online consumers never make it past page 1 of the search results) We are basically going to “outrank” them. Continue reading to discover more about how this is done.
Outranking To Fix Online Reputation
Outranking these sites is the best way I’ve found to minimize the negative effect they can have on your digital reputation. There are numerous other sites online where your information is probably already listed (Yelp, Yellowpages, Manta, Hoovers, Mapquest, etc), that we can increase the ranking of to completely take-over the first page of the Google results and push all of the bad crap to page 2 and beyond. I can’t spill the beans or give you my secret recipe for doing this but I can tell you that I’ve done time and time again, and it just simply works.
How To Remove Bad Reviews
When it comes to bad reviews online, I’ve found that the best method to deal with this is to simply dilute them. For example: Let’s say you have 5 reviews on Google places, Yelp, or Facebook. If 3 of the 5 are negative, you’re going to look bad. But what if we were to get 10 more reviews from existing customers and make sure they’re good reviews? Now we would have 15 total reviews, and only 3 of them being negative…you look great! Plus, believe it or not, it’s often better to have lots of good reviews but a couple of bad ones sprinkled in there. It makes the good reviews more believable. If you see a business with 30 reviews and they’re all 5 Stars, that looks a little “fishy” right? A few bad reviews aren’t bad if that makes sense.
Online Reputation Management Cost
Like I mentioned before, most reputation repair companies charge and arm and a leg. There are some that charge very little, but do a crappy job. It’s also very common for these companies to charge a large retainer, and then a hefty monthly fee. Then there are guys like me who are the best of both worlds. I don’t overcharge, and I get the job done. Also, I don’t charge a monthly fee. I will quote you a flat fee that you only pay ONE time. With that being said, my flat fees start at $1,200 (one time fee). This includes my service that I use to “outrank” bad reviews but I also will include free consultations and advice for managing online reviews in the future and the best overall strategies for keeping that first page of Google “clean.”
